The Luck Will Follow is finally done. The lyrics I have been turning over and over for years.
We're a perfect imerfection
I am weak where you are strong
In your eyes a clear reflection
Of the home where I belong
Sometimes its you I follow
sometimes I take the lead
and when you search I still know
that you'll journey back to me.
I give all of my tomorrows
As you promise yours to me
We'll turn all our fear and sorrow
into hope and honesty.
In the promise of our making
braking ground for living on
Whether something new or borrowed
rain or sun
the luck will follow
the luck will follow
So many roads I traveled
Some took me far away
and somehow I still found you
and I'm standing here today
to give all of my tomorrows
As you promise yours to me
We'll turn all our fear and sorrow
into hope and honesty.
In the promise of our making
braking ground for living on
Whether something new or borrowed
rain or sun
the luck will follow
the luck will follow

It was really cool to read the lyrics before hearing it as a song. I think it's really the strength of the lyrics when they stand alone as a poem and you really have that down :-)

A very pretty song, it must be very satisfying to complete a long-standing uncompleted tune!
Pretty melody that is sung very well.

This is lovely. I was fully expecting it to go into tonnes of harmonies later on, but actually, I think the simplicity gives it a real strength. Gorgeous song.
