Feb 2022 folk
of rough days rough nights
I find when I'm in a certain sad, i have to reach for an acoustic guitar. What is it about the sound that pulls the thoughts from the feeling
Where do I go?
Where is my home?
Where I can cry
without you asking why
How will we know?
how can we show?
When we don't listen
we don't want to listen
How many churches are there in heaven?
When will I stop
when will you go?
When can we start living
I want to start living
I'm tired of proving instead of giving

I love the line, "How many churches are there in heaven?" That is so thought-provoking. Your voice is so sweet and floating over these uncertain chords in places, and then so powerful and carries such emotion when you belt it out. Just gorgeous.

Beautiful chord progression. Flawless vocal. Just lovely all around.

I love the rhythm changes, and the tone of your voice as always. Your chord choices have always been inspiring. Those bridge lines are killer. Well done, dear.

Enjoying the guitar feel, maybe a nod to Jobim? Loving the dissonance in the guitar chords, question filled lyrics and your soaring vocals.

This is stunning! Your voice is beautiful, and your guitar backing is gorgeous - it sounds complex but does not distract from your vocal part. I love how so much of this song is questions, really drives home the sadness/uncertainty
