Feb 2022 acoustic-one-take harmonies claps
Bah this is rough but don't wanna leave a song behind.
TUESDAY'S A CLIMB
I’m tired and it’s my fault
No one to blame, I feel so ashamed
Cos I was up late playing games
And I feel the pain cos it’s Monday again
I’m working x3 jobs
I can be lazy but I’m not a slob
I love what I do
But when Thursday is through
I wanna veg out
and have a Guinness or two
I want to unwind
Escape from the grind
Lose track of time //
Tuesdays a climb
Tuesdays a climb
*
I know this’ll happen again
Just a question of when
(Maybe) weakness of men
What’s the solution?
There’s no resolution
Let chaos ensue
Sleeps for the weak
Thursday is through
Thursday is through
----
(*just realised I completely forgot a verse when transferring from postits to computer- see below for penultimate verse)
*If I don’t stay on top
Productivity drops
Motivation it flops
Mental health starts to suffer
No time to recover
I’m spiralling further
Wednesday is murder
Wednesday is murder

Enjoyed this one too! Relatable lyrics again. Glad you got this one down - it's super catchy. Maybe worth revisiting down the line? That said, there's a charm to these rougher one takes that's hard to recapture isn't there? Good stuff again :)

Another nice one mate!

Looove love that melody and especially how it flows in the third verse, so so catchy

Even with the slightly rough edges there's a great song in here! Very relatable lyrically, you sing it brilliantly, and that hand-clappy bit at the end is an absolute winner!

Man I love your voice. This is such a relatable song. Catchy as hell too.

I definitely relate to this, hah! I feel like you've really captured the difficulty of calling it a night when the next day's a work day and you're just trying to get a few more minutes of something enjoyable in, but you know you're going to feel awful the next day. (I liked the clapping along at the end too, very catchy!)
