I am still getting the hang of mixing things but got impatient and decided to post this.
Thanks for listening!
Nobody knows what Bitcoin is
Nobody knows, or cares
Is it computer coins, a Russian trick, or some kind of wallet?
Deaf ears, and empty stares
Picture a sunny day in Washington, District of Columbia
And you’re a senator, or some random Congress dude
Don’t know what Facebook is, or maybe, yes, your granddaughter emails with it
… sweet Lord, this country is screwed
Nobody knows what Bitcoin is
Nobody knows, or cares
Is it the MetaVerse, or something that’s equally expensive?
Dead eyes and frosty glares
Maybe it’s a fever dream,
Filled with hopes and fears,
Soaring like a new Gulf Stream
Into a cliff, that’s software engineered
I’m not a genius but I know, enough to be dangerous with
Fiduciary facts and data points
Blockchains and makin’ it rain, junk bonds, and long cons
I haunt Wall Street’s cronut joints
I don’t know, what Bitcoin is
I don’t know, or care
Does it help you with receipts, or tipping your waitress?
Will it cure my fear of bears?

Finally - the anthem of our times we need! I was singing along by the second chorus. And this almost certainly the lost song from REM's Monster.

Punk and folksy at the same time somehow! OK, mostly punk. This is a fun song with an interesting twist.

This really gave me a chuckle. Great vibe and some real gems in the lyrics. Keeper!

So true, bitcoin instantly bores the crap out of me.
Great lyrics, and a fantastic voice. Going up high in 'No one knows...' is really well done. I also like the wall of single distorted guitar.
@neuflex Feb 2022
Great topic and I actually really like the big fuzzy wall of guitar backing your passionate vocals in this mix!

Nice dense guitar sounds. Like the anger in the separation of knowledge and reality in our leaders. Real nice write. Well done.
