Finally got around to the week one challenge and started writing this while disassociating in the tub. I would love to add harmonies but definitely hit a wall and need to move on... someday!
Clouds, suds
Casting shadows on my legs
Forests darkened
By the passing systems
I found celestial bodies
In all my body parts
Jump in and touch the bottom
You’ll feel the kick when it starts
Watching spirals
Stretch and connect until moved
Disperse
into tiny satellites
Pull focus
Away then back into my limbs
Submerged
Call it safe and warm at least for now
I found celestial bodies
In all my body parts
Jump in and touch the bottom
You’ll feel the kick when it starts
Signals crossed
I project all parts of me
slingshot
Into witnessed shooting stars
Thumbprints
Colliding with spine
Touching
Down on earth with feet dripping
I found celestial bodies
In all my body parts
Jump in and touch the bottom
You’ll feel the kick when it starts
Sometimes you have to go out to come back in

There are few things better than drifting off in a nice warm bath and feeling the boundary between who you are and the rest of the universe begin to gently give way. This sums up that feeling perfectly. Lovely!

The open tuned guitar is so pretty, love the way you get out of the fingerpicking pattern to emphasize notes sometimes. The lyrics are great, very poetic, especially that first verse.

I have to admit I clicked on this cos you tagged it 'sad bastard music'. Really nice vibe to this, mellow, dreamy, good humoured. Like it.

I love the astronomical references throughout. Very clever lyrics. Nice sound too!

Oooh. I love this. The lyrics are so evocative and unexpected, especially the celestial bodies/body parts juxtaposition. And the guitar arpeggios are such a perfect match.

Wow! Great, enjoy the open tuning and finger playing.
