This one's about one of those heavens-and-earth-and-sea affairs that finally come to rest, as such affairs must and will.
Guitar tuning: CGDFGC x77325, no capo
The creek is running slow and clear
and you say you are tired of my hands
Six days ago I covered you like clouds
Raining my favor upon your thirsty lands
So now you turn your face
towards another sun
Only a week to make me
a weekling, nothing to be done
I was told that you blew hot and cold
but never of cruelties of these scales
Would I’d been warned you’d be so bold
strand my vessel far from wind for my sails

Wow, this is really lovely. Words and music working together really nicely. Some lovely turns of phrase in here - love the "week" bit. Bill Callahan-esque to my ear, but never trust my ear. The voice sounds high in the mix, but not to the detrement of the rest, so I'm guessing that's an artistic choice. That meandering, languid guitar very lovely. Very cool, thanks.
