I did a collab with @altum over his tune Exile! (https://fawm.org/songs/126625/)
Thanks for posting, awesome beat (that synth solo line!!! unf) and I love how the 7/8 goes flawlessly into the 8/8. smoov af.
little ditty about my least favorite body part :( before I had issues with my digestion I never could have ever imagined how much it would affect my mood. little did I know :(
hope this is relatable for some folks. i c u
no seretonin left,
left moanin
it was a bad morning
lying on the floor
knowing
my body might be broken
no butter on my bread can
make it so I want it
goblins in my gut, man
my body might be broken
I don't ever want to eat again,
feed fuel to the fire I swear
always something good for nothin
bad luck, bad gut
despair
despair
got the shakes
somewhere aches
I wish I wasn't woken
how much shifting
does it take
to keep my body open?
I gotta screw my face
and breathe,
I can own it
no butter on my bread can (no more)
make it so I want it (my body might be broken)
I don't ever want to eat again,
feed fuel to the fire I swear
always something good for nothin
bad luck, bad gut
despair
despair
despair
what am I if my body isn't
isn't, isn't, isn't, isn't, isn't
what am I if my body isn't
isn't, isn't, isn't, isn't, isn't
what am I if my body isn't
isn't, isn't, isn't, isn't, isn't
what am I if my body isn't
isn't, isn't, isn't, isn't, isn't
no seretonin left,
left moanin
lying on the floor
knowing
my body might be broken
I don't ever want to eat again,
feed fuel to the fire I swear
always something good for nothin

Wow, great vocals. They fit so well with woozy backing and it sounds like they were always part of it! Those runs on the bells in the "what I am..." section are great.

Fantastic track. Lyrics and synth sounds are a perfect match. A dizzy, almost seasick feel to it, but also super smooth. Superb production and vocal.
@andrewrusse Feb 2022
Wow. This is incredible. What a piece of work. Utterly fantastic.
@shortdan Feb 2022
Fantastic vocal work again. Really inventive and clever instrumentation throughout. The bass line caught my ear particularly in this one. Excellent work!
@gammafied Feb 2022
Cool arrangement and layers. I see you all playing with panning, space and time. Headphone candy! The subject matter hits home for many dealing with health issues.

All of this is a Chronic Illness Mood (TM). Great use of the unusual time signature to emphasize the unease and discomfort of the subject matter, especially effective when paired with the offset vocal tracks. Very well done!

Yow, not sure I’ve heard a song about something so unattractive be so attractive. Everything about this is so groovy it kind of makes you forget what it’s about, I love the vocals and even though the melody is bouncing around and free there’s also so many great hooks, what am I if my body isn’t, especially, love it!

Y'all have taken this particular style and approached it with such creativity and focus. I use to suffer from IBS and I have a good friend who has Crohn's disease. So your lyrics are relatable. I'm so impressed with how you took @altum's track and didn't go the predictable route with vocals. Props n' pounds to the two of you for this seriously cool tune.

Brilliant - love the inventive use of panning and double tracking on the vocal - getting Warpaint vibes a bit, that saw of Raw imperfect harmonic thing going on. It really does feel like you made this together, the sort of stop-start nature of the beats and bassline gives a real disorienting feel to proceedings, and matches the lyric in way. Sorry to hear about your health issues @bigmood, but it takes real skill to put that into such an infectious song.
@sml Feb 2022
Very cool. I loved this, so original in composition and production. The vocals are wow!
@altum Feb 2022
@bigmood When you told me you were going to put vocals over this track, my first thought was: the structure is all over the place and the arrangement is too busy for you to find space for yourself. Obviously I was very, very wrong. It's unreal!
All the choices you made were excellent here, I honestly love it.
The hook is amazing! ('I don't ever wanna eat again'...) It feels like it should have always been there.
Unfortunately, the the lyrical content is also very relatable. I hope it releases it's grip on you soon, stress was always the driving factor behind flair-ups for me.
I'd definitely want to work on more things with you in the future if you're down.

Again my jaw is on the floor listening to the absolutely amazing production of something you’ve done.
My headphones are swooning over the chance get a good workout in.
Whew! That was good stuff.
p.s. sorry your belly gives you problems. Mine for some reasons has started getting cranky with me, too. :(
@jessespillane Feb 2022
Great vocals, production, everything! I really enjoyed this one!
