Feb 2022 instrumental noise spooky short
Before this album was what it was going to be before what it is now, this was a taste of the sonic palate I was going for. I wanted to capture feeling lost and anxious about being lost, as replaying Pathologic 2 with your past playthroughs in your memory makes you realize how gosh-darn mysterious/incomprehensible aspects of this world are (even in the pretty-linear-tutorial-intro).
Ugly sounds.

The butt-rock bit is the first of many odd brief instrumental interludes to represent how combat (or taking heavy damage in general) in this game can sometimes happen so suddenly that it shocks the system and you momentarily forget how to play. While there will be other vaguely humorous things on this record, most of them will not be kickass riffing outta nowhere (unfortunately).

this is so cool! ive never played pathologic but youve captured the vibe wonderfully. and that ending, *chefs kiss* just so good

Ok, I wasn't expecting that. I was pretty happy with the guitars and the reverb, I loved the disonnant sounds you got out of it that aren't jarring to my ears, then the full band thing happened and I was like ok, this just got really interesting. Oh no, but you haven't finished, you end it with that wonderful crescendo that just ends ubruptly, damn I loved that. Good job.

WHOA, this is SICK!!! I love the instrumental break when the drums come in, and how the stereo image gets really wide—then when the stereo field gets clogged up with noise in the center of the space and gets cut off at the end. Looking forward to hearing whatever you do next!

Great atmosphere. And the guitar at 1:10 is a great change!
Overall not too spooky imho. Can still listen and enjoy.

The guitars at the very beginning reminded me of the opening of Stonehenge by Spinal Tap. But then there was that burst into sonic rock metal goodness. Sold!

I love how the snare after the little jammy section sounds like it straight up has a gallon of water on it. Nice touch.
10/10 would recommend Pathologic 2. Definitely captures the essence of "wow, everything sucks and I'm probably gonna die here."

as always from you, wildly unpredictable in the best possible way. the dark and ominous intro is cool, then suddenly a rock bit for like 5 seconds, and then back, and then deranged noise rock outro that is absolutely incredible. that noise rock could have gone on for like 5 minutes and I'd have loved it, it's superb, but perhaps that wouldn't fit the vision (?)

Bro you had no right to make this slap so hard. Great song! Loved the break down, that really surprised me. Fantastic opening to FAWM.

“Feeling lost, and anxious about feeling lost” is such an interesting vibe to explore, and a great description of what you made! The transition from spooky and tense to kickass riffing is delicious - really nice!
