I know I said this last time but I usually don't do stuff like this. This was a quick and simple one, and I felt I should leave it simple and sparse. Have been playing with this basic picking pattern on my open tuned parlor guitar, so I added some verses to a basic 12-bar structure. My guitar work is still not so great, but its been a recent interest of mine and hopefully will continue to improve.
spirit, do your work in me
open my eyes, so i can see
where you go i will follow
just need to see the way
may you receive glory, this is what i pray
i desire to participate
love what you love hate what you hate
if i empty myself,
you can be strong
in the palm of your hands, that’s where i belong
we want to be unified
we want to be your bride
we will come to you,
that’s the place to start
we work hard for calloused hands
but we don’t want calloused hearts

This is gorgeous. Beautiful playing, and lovely melody and chords which reflect the sentiments. Congrats!

Great tune, the sound reminds me of Death Cab for Cutie. I don't think the lyrics sound that spiritual (which might have put me off haha) because they're mostly focused on creativity and inspiration, and "spirit" can mean many things. Good job.

Less is more, well done. The music fits the lyrics well. Glory to Jesus :)

Simple and sparse works perfectly for this! Nice production - just the right amount of double-tracking on the vocal, and subtle organ/synth in the background. Very effective.
