The writing prompt was rags to riches. Why are these slow, quiet songs so hard?
There’s something about Anna
You know she swam to shore here one night
But if you look closely
It really seems like she’s doing all right
It’s that look in her eyes now
How can anyone look so assured
Like she has her own condo
Like she doesn’t have a care in the world
Yes there’s something about Anna
There’s something about Anna
Is that even her real name
Well I mean it is now
That’s how it works when you run your own game
She started with nothing
You know all she had was a phone
Are they made for the ocean
Well I mean I guess that says so
But there’s something about Anna
There’s something about Anna
I don’t know why she was running away
It must have been a big problem
But what it was she never did say
She goes to work like it was nothing
And what she does is always on track
Is that because she never worries
Is that because she never looks back
Oh there’s something about Anna

Good story and a well done slow, quiet song. I like the wrap up lines "Is that because she never worries
Is that because she never looks back" Probably something we could all take in. Good skirmish.

Is that because she never worries
Is that because she never looks back

Great song. Interesting character study. Nice matter-of-fact delivery in your singing. I enjoyed listening.
