Feb 2022 loops instrumental
Now that I can , I am experimenting with sound loops on GarageBand. Just having some fun. Added some recording of the traffic on the road outside the property in Barbados where I stayed.
Thinking I could overlay some vocals, but have not figured that out yet.

I think this is a successful experiment. Nice mixture of instrumental and vocal loops and analog sounds. Good layering of your selections. Has a nice rhythm to it and a flow from simple to complex, back to simple, back to complex.... Enjoyed listening to it. #tit4tat

The power of suggestion, with the given title, closing your eyes it's easy to imagine the street scenes passing slowly by the window and the pauses at each stop.
@bigstarlet Mar 2022
You did a great job with this. I have GarageBand and I haven‘t figured out how to use loops yet. The piece hangs together really well, loops were well chosen.

Really get a good sense of being on a crowded bus, lots of chatter and the speed of things going by the windows, the piano blends well to carry the journey onward. #tit4tat.

I have been on a bus a few times..very familiar sounds. It is good to have fun with music.

Cool!
I'm using karateband too but I didn't ever realise that there is loops stuff :)
Nice song and gaves me ideas for next year#tit4tat

You did a great job with the loops...it all hangs together so well. I use Garageband all the time, but have not come up with anything as creative as you did. Maybe this is the inspiration I need. Thanks.

Neat audio texture of the traffic set against the oh loops, and hey loops, got an ominous vibe to it. Sweet talkbox sounds too; great groove here. Would be quite an interesting bus ride with all those noises.
@robheron1 Feb 2022
I like that you're experimenting with loops and multitracks. FAWM is really a fun thing. I like that its only Feb every year. Makes it special. And sort of like Lent.
@srcoops Feb 2022
This brings back the long ride on Greyhound from Ohio to New Mexico when I was a GI. Enjoyed it.
@abudabard12514 Feb 2022
The future singalongs to this song are going to be epic.
@seemanski Feb 2022
You do get a sense of being on a bus journey with that recording in the background. Good use of looping and sampling. What I can't figure is if that honking is a loop or in the outside recording.
@sailingmagpie Feb 2022
Always good when you try something outside of your usual box and it ends up working out well. The traffic noises really add texture to this and the descending piano notes are delightful.
@ductapeguy Feb 2022
That was a fun ride. Thanks for taking us along. Isn't it great how FAWM challenges us to try brand new things.
@freddie13 Feb 2022
Great job Linda very creative.
You are just amazing...
@intoyourlight Feb 2022
Experimenting with loops is always fun :) I agree, it is great to go past the comfort zone and try something new. Liked that very much!
@dzdandcunfsd Feb 2022
Hah, I too came for the mandolin, and this would be the first song of yours I hear this year :O)
I love it! This was a ton of fun.
@quork Feb 2022
I came for the mandolin and stayed for the loops. Kudos for going past your limits.. Something I want to do but haven’t figured out how to start. Fun listen.
