I thought it might be fun to put a tune to someone else's lyrics and I was intrigued by @janetjulian 's lyrics I decided a capella was the way to go here. Again, not the greatest recording but I think the words made a pretty cool song, I forgot originally to write her lyrics were part of the #oraclechallenge
Lyrics by Janet Julian
(Chorus)
The Underworld, it calls to me
A candle flame, a path to walk
The Underworld, it calls to me
Silence waiting, in the dark
The Underworld, it calls to me
Hidden mystery, to find my self
My heart is heavy
My head in fog
My hand lacks grip
I am lost
(Chorus)
The Underworld, it calls to me
A candle flame, a path to walk
The Underworld, it calls to me
Silence waiting, in the dark
The Underworld, it calls to me
Hidden mystery, to find my self
I turn myself inward
To mystery’s path
To walk the labyrinth
With torch in hand
(Chorus)
The Underworld, it calls to me
A candle flame, a path to walk
The Underworld, it calls to me
Silence waiting, in the dark
The Underworld, it calls to me
Hidden mystery, to find my self
Down the stairway
Through the gates
Each one taking
Til each tie is cut
(Chorus)
The Underworld, it calls to me
A candle flame, a path to walk
The Underworld, it calls to me
Silence waiting, in the dark
The Underworld, it calls to me
Hidden mystery, to find my self
No light is found here
No joy or bliss
Just solemn silence
And perhaps a gift
(Chorus)
The Underworld, it calls to me
A candle flame, a path to walk
The Underworld, it calls to me
Silence waiting, in the dark
The Underworld, it calls to me
Hidden mystery, to find my self
The Underworld, it calls to me
Hidden mystery, to find my self

I can see why you chose these lyrics-certainly right up your alley. And kudos to @janetjulian for very evocative lyrics!

@leslie333 Thank you so much! I’m so glad the words inspired you. I like the acappella treatment, and the chorus is quite catchy. Really appreciate you!

Congrats on your first collab! It's a lot easier after the first time. I feel this could use a little light backup, like a drone or baseline.
