Mitigation Lovers
Across the front
tramps streaming behind
open the gate
Let them all in
Let them all in, though
it's not really even safe here
look around, faces upturned
same old song and dance
and the second verse of this song
are you really with me
Or are you not
Spin on that awhile
Spin on friend or foe
friend or foe
friend or pho

This is great work, skirmish or not. There's a moody 80s feel to this, I'm also a sucker for songs that reference song writing in the lyrics. The lyrics are just vague enough to feel very philosophical, nice work!

I like the thought provoking cryptic lines and the questioning the nature of a relationship. The music has a haunting quality that fits the uncertainty of the lyric.

I took this as a story of mass confusion, of the slow-moving variety that is, probably not any kind of panic. The dour music seems to fit the idea that there is no clear answer, at least not yet. There is something cathartic about listening to this kind of scene that, as familiar as it is, isn’t often put into song,

I find the phrase "Mitigation lovers" so intriguing. That first note really draws you in and the synths back the vocals and lyrics well. Your wordplay kept me well engaged.

Lovely vintage-sounding pad had me hooked right from the opening note. Those swarms of arpeggios really add an element of mystery; 'friend or foe,' indeed.
And now I want pho. Curses!
