I cut a piece out of a loop from Garageband to get the static throughout the track. The beginning and end static I recorded off AM radio via the Voice Memos app on my iPhone.
I was going to go for a crooner vibe originally but my first vocal take sounded kind of creepy to me, so I ran with the old timey vibe with a touch of creepy.
With my arms around you
Your eyes gazed at me
I can't help but smile
I'm as happy as can be
Your lips are sweet like honey
You make me weak in the knees
I'll never shrug my shoulders at you
I'm as happy as can be
Anything you want to do
I'm all ears whenever I'm with you
I've got your back and that's a fact
I'm walking through life with you
The feeling rattles my bones
From my head down to my feet
I love you with my whole body
I'm as happy as can be

Nice write! The Tin Pan Alley feel is great. Fun piano and trumpet solos, and a great vibe.

This is one of the most unusual and unique songs I've heard so far this FAWM!! I'm loving the ole timey feel and the bouncy melody. We need more happy songs, don't we?!! Adding the static was brilliant!!!

Nice, nice, very nice! I agree with Nancy about the rhythm of the melody with your vocal delivery. I'm glad I could hear this while having my coffee!

Great homage. I like the moments in the vocal melody where the words get more dense and rhythmic. Love the big-band tradition of trading solos. I like the take on the "body parts" challenge, and the found recordings.
