I'm currently going through some emotional stuff.
The past few have tapped into anger but I think this song taps into resignation and maybe acceptance.
I'm not happy with the key for my voice. I feel a different key may allow me to sing 'bigger'. This one could be challenge.
I promise I will start doing demos using tracking and stuff... Just time poor right now.
Eyes are burning now
Looking at the ground
The sounds of the city our louder than ever
But that won’t drown it out
The voices in your ear
All the hopes and fears
Although you’re surrounded you still haven’t found
Just how you fit in here
If I slow you down
But you can’t stop now
You think it’s time
To move up
But the future’s then
The past is dead
Right now’s all we have left
And we are all out at night
we are all out of time
But the moon is out tonight
So dance in the light
And I don’t want to fight
I don’t think you’re right
You say when you’re around me you feel like your’e drowning
As you turn out the light
But me I have saved you
And me you have saved me
And that is so hard to forget
But sometimes there’s something to rescue yourself
But we still haven’t found it yet

That's a great riff/guitar bass part. I like how the first verse hints at what "it" is, but doesn't tell us directly. I also like the "out at night/out of time" juxtaposition. Nice job!

I can feel the rawness of the emotions in this. Even though it's quite dark. There is an element of hope. Nice sound, I could imagine this being part of a film.

@Blainev83 Thanks.
Yeah, you nailed the chord and capo position. Nice ear!

This is such a great song. Beautiful melody and you can feel the emotion

This was just…wow. Great lyrics, chord progression, fantastic vocal. When the chorus resolves with “dance into the light” with the corresponding walk up from Fm, G, G# (sounds like capo’d on 1?) it’s such a great payoff. I love everything about this. Watchlisted!
