Ever have somebody lie about you and get you ejected from reality? Not, mind, because you've done anything, but because they're sick of you?
This has been trying to be a song of mine for a long time. But I could never really get it out until the lovely fires of FAWM were kindled under my tender behind.
Enjoy!
there's blood in the water
in flyover country
a vampire castle
a figure of eight
I knew you were lying
I know what you're thinking
I tried not to scare you
it's prob'ly too late
the knives are all sharpened
it probably happened
who cares if she's bleeding
complicit in fate
the marys are bloody
in hangover country
the stakes have been sharpened
a figure of hate
the murky seas churning
the kraken awakens
the tidewater ripples
now throw in the bait

That's a cool photo you're using for this song. I'm really not good at commenting on the very electronic stuff, I don't listen to much of it, but I did enjoy this one. The e-chorus in the back helped, I think, giving me an anchor in all the weird effects, and the vocals were understandable, so the rhyme worked with the drums to keep it driving forward.
I agree about the "marys are bloody" line!

This is heavy and brilliant. The production is ace, the vocoder vocal thing is really effective.
"the marys are bloody in hangover country" is such a great line.

Great build up, feeling of an impending confrontation of some kind of horror and struggle.

From the ominous opening you know what you are going to get. Great atmosphere throughout and the vocoded vocals are a good match.
