I just can't. Do. Another. Superhero movie.
A lot of the times I write a song that attempts to sound like a band I like, fails miserably, and somehow becomes something else.
At the beginning this song was attempting to be a Strokes song (one of my fav bands). It is not that. But somehow I am pleased with the direction it took.
Batman was a psychopath, oh oh
Billionaire with righteous wrath, oh, oh
Dresses up and he prowls the night
That’s a criminal profile alright
How many Batmans do the people need
Ain’t gonna save us from the corporate greed
Marvel, DC, it’s all the same
Billionaires who won the game
The Dark Knight bites
Must be hard to be a man
When you were born with penguin hands
But why does Bruce Wayne act so terribly?
Can’t he afford to pay for therapy?
Iron Man was a straight up prick
You root for him and ya feed the myth
Pepper Potts ain’t exactly professional
Toxic workplace is multidimensional
How much taxes do you think he pays?
Stark Industries pays minimum wage
Billionaires are the master race
In the battle to control airspace
Tony Stark, oligarch
(Think about it)
Thanos was really just confused
I kinda respect his point of view
Does Tony Stark have an excuse?
For melting henchmen into ooze?

Love the social commentary on this, and how you took one social construct to talk about another and damn them both. Great writing!

The starting music grabs you in quickly. You should get some drums added to this!

There are some really funny lines here along with the commentary.
Nice guitar work - I had to go back again to listen because I was so focused on the lyrics first time through.

Nerdy, but so true. The psychopathic billionaires are our heroes. No wonder society is so screwed up LOL.
I quite enjoyed the song with all of its changes & the great guitar work. Great job!
See You In The Shadows…
