Lyrics by @negasi music by me. My first collab with someone other than my husband. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
Sunny days or rain kissed nights
it's all the same to me
In a daze they say it's just a phase
I say something's not quite right
Snowy stairs or fire filled depths
I cannot differentiate
Walk in pairs we just don't care
Only got one foot on these steps
Trying to watch from a distance
Because underneath this armor
Cracked and showing its age
I'm fragile, handle with care
I'm fragile, I'm already there
Kiss me under the moonlight
Or under the pouring rain
Maybe caught in a snowstorm
To me it's all the same
I can't make up my mind
When there's nothing to decide
Found myself a piece of shell
It's hard not to just run and hide
Wish I could be one of fishes
Swimming so carefree
Until someone lands a hook
And comes along with me
Take a walk along the river
Like I did when I was young
Smile at all the old memories
Of when things used to feel fun.

Beautiful voice. My favourite melody is the first verse's melody/motif and that it comes back again throughout the song. Great collab!

dear michelle. i could listen to you sing the phone book. stunning. love the melody in the verses. my fav lines:
Kiss me under the moonlight
Or under the pouring rain
Maybe caught in a snowstorm
To me it's all the same
A delicious collab! Bravo!

Another very engaging melody and performance. This is truly lovely.

Beautiful Michelle. Your voice and music reflect the strong but vulnerable feeling of the lyric. Was a good listen.

While the lyric and vocal delivery are well matched in their sincerity, I find the music to be a kind of bright counterpoint to the dark place the narrator seems to be in. I think it works nicely!
@moonraccoon Feb 2022
A lovely melody that suits the lyric nicely.

This is really pretty. The rhythm in the verse chorus really adds character and the smoother chorus makes a great contrast. Nicely done both

I love your voice! So much emotion, and beautiful how you lead listeners through a story… I like the line about fishes…

That is a fantastic collab. Negasi is a master wordsmith and you make his words dance, Michelle.

A beautiful treatment of Negasi's words. You hold the feelings of the narrator as delicately as a soap bubble. It's all delivered with such a gentle intimacy that I couldn't envision when I first read the words - bringing a warm, emotional side to someone who I could only see the angst of before.
I like the genre - seems to sit halfway between pop adult contemporary and a hymn.
Negasi: I always enjoy your work, but am sometimes left guessing as to what direction they are asking to be taken in. This lyric does a good job of illustrating pain and fragility. It doesn't pretend to be stronger than it is, which a lot of songs do (and I find myself falling into that trap all too often).
