this is a hard rock song with spoken word lyrics full of non sequiturs. i was trying to write a riff that had a sort of rage against the machine kind of vibe. i like to think this is what rage would sound like if they were more apathetic.
i recorded this tonight.
i did the vocals, guitars, bass, and drums
i have a friend who’s such a compulsive liar
that not even this is true
i like to take placebos recreationally
i do enjoy everything in moderation
but only sometimes
i like to refer to real grass
as artificial astroturf
i’m starting a solitaire league
so please do not apply
i used to be addicted to
having interventions
but my friends and family
didn’t know what to do about it
nobody ever said anything
so i had to quit cold turkey
i once said
and i quote
“i’m paraphrasing right now”
wait was that it?
well it was something
along those lines anyway

So what if I can’t spell Armiggedon
It’s not the end of the world

Great fuzz and all around playing. The lyrics made me smile.

King Rage Against the Missile

Cool write: the contrast between the snarl of the music and the just-off-kilter lyric works really well.

Ha ha, this reminds me of The United States of Whatever, but, like you say, the RATM version. The words are really funny, the riff is really sludgy and fantastic. Another win!

How are you doing drums?

Holy shit you out raged rage against the machine! Loved this and the spoken word vocals are perfect for it. Love it dude I’m genuinely smiling listening to it.

I love the riff. I could see the dude from Faith No More head banging to this.
