Sometimes I just go to a random chord generator and just try to go for it.
Now if I could figure out the input levels on this phone app, but whatever, a scratch track is okay, too.
I want to hold you, baby again,
I want to scold you, when it calls for it,
I want to know you, without pause,
I want to roll with you, baby just because.
I want to sway with you, cheek to cheek,
I want to know what's boiling underneath,
I want to do things that will cause applause,
I want to roll with you, baby just because.
I want to see you with that wicked grin,
I want to dare to let you always win,
I want to know you won't retract the claws,
I want to roll with you, baby just because.

As a ukulele player myself, I was drawn to hear what you did with the instrument, and I really like the relaxed, old-timey feel, with just the right touch of sultriness. The repetitions and structure make this feel so intense, and your great vocals push the "seduction level" to 11!

Hot stuff, this. You've picked the ripest words for inspiring desire and a chord structure that simmers such tension.
Well done, many conjurings were bespelled by this ditty—knowing glances on a tropical vacation for some reason (probably the ukulele)... Great stuff.

Fantastic delivery of some very smart lines. Your timing really commands the listener’s attention (so sexy). But you already have that because your voice sounds amazing. This is a performance must! (Ditto on harmonizing alongside you.)

The repeating ‘I want you…’ lines whilst you play with the melody is fantastic - it’s builds the tension until it’s palpable. Very saucy!
@tageule Feb 2022
Mmmh, this is beautiful. I love the "just because" - because that should be reason enough.

This is so so beautiful, I so so missed hearing your voice! I am already singing harmonies to it. Just because!

Ah yes, we love a random chord progression. This one is quite bluesy. Very soulful yet controlled vocals. @ductapeguy said it right with "sultry." I love it :D
Sound quality seems good to me, esp for a phone demo.

Hooked during those first four chords of the intro! Very cool to update this kind of retro vibe with the uke and contemporary language. I love your vocal delivery and the depth and presence of both uke and vocal are stunning, especially for being done on a phone!
@fiteclub Feb 2022
Geez. So well done. I try to figure out what it is you do to make these tunes come to life so well. I haven't figured it out, but this is solid.
@fiteclub Feb 2022
Hrrmm...Scandalous you are.
@ductapeguy Feb 2022
Whoa. Did somebody turn up the heat in here? How do you manage to make a ukulele sound sultry? That is one smoking torch song.
@kenmattsson Feb 2022
Damn, this sounds like the dating profile I've been meaning to write!
You sound great on this, and the simple ukulele accompaniment works. Love the line "I want to do things that will cause applause" ;-)
