Nice! Some of the most satisfying jazz piano playing I’ve heard so far this FAWM. If it’s updated later with lyrics please do let me know so I can come back for another listen!
Wow! Terrific jazzy blues, Nadia. I know I’ve been out of the loop for awhile, but I think this is the first time I’ve ever heard anything in this genre from you. You have it a very nice flair, and that flute part is so lovely. Can’t wait to see what @sherrycanary brings to the table!
Hi Nadia
Sorry about Valentine song.
I had high hopes for it, but fate had other plans.
I came my to say hi and happened to listen to this song.
I started writing some lyrics.
Maybe halfway done
Let me know if you are up for a collab.
It's a beautiful jazzy tune, and I can relate to it
Nice vamping start. And the flute I didn't expect at all. Good harmonic use in there, chord progressions not at all expected, but right. A cool bit of jazz, this. Middle section adds a lot. I'm glad you kept the smoky slow tempo. Applause!!
The sun just started to kinda brighten my window when this started playing.
This kind of blues always gets me a bit down, but I really feel that's what the blues does best; sometimes there's feelin' good blues, and sometimes there's feelin' down blues - for my personal tastes, this is the feeling down stuff, and I love it.
Loving the riffs on the piano.
The low rumbly bass notes echo so nicely under the right hand stuff.
At 1:33 there's almost a bit of hopefulness creeping in with the sunlight through the window.
I think the flute/melody instrument is a nice addition to add more melodic lines - works so well with the piano's ticklings.
Yeah this was a nice jazzy, bluesy, blue listen.
Ooooh jazzy! Great stuff, Nadia. Love those rolling chords in the left hand... and then the flute hits! I love how this has almost a military march vibe going in the middle, but still super jazzy. You always find a way to bring that rhythm in even without percussion. Nice work.
Stopped by to listen and enjoyed what I heard. You are a skillful pianist and composer, and I definitely got the early-twentieth century jazz standard vibe in spite of this composition being created a hundred years later. Well done!
I must have stepped into a jazz club without realizing it. Where's my drink? I don't remember hearing jazz from you before, and I'm loving it. You're so versatile!

Oh yess! This is delightful. A bluesy jazz instrumental full of feeling, the way blues/jazz was meant to be. Love it. Wonderful piece!

This is lovely and relaxing. Such a nice surprise to hear the piano, and to be able to drift along with it as the music wanders along.

sigh....wouldn't you know it. It's always the lead vocalist who shows up late. Typical rock star. No worries, I'm enjoying the music.

Well, I've been hearing some great jazz around here this season--and this is among the best. I usually get one or two out myself--maybe tomorrow!
Your usual great job! Loving the flute, too!
