Sunlight glitters on the surface
Soft sand cradles your feet
Hours pass without purpose
You smell sunset coming in on the breeze
Now it’s time to wake up
Pack a lunch for the work week
Pretend there’s a world still out there
Without a care
And we’ll get there
Let’s pretend there’s a world still out there
Hiding somewhere
And we’ll get there someday
Mists on the moors
Fogging filling in the fjords
A bridge across the bay
Mountains towering and gray
Cascading waterfalls
Shaded canyon walls
You can’t concentrate
Enough to fabricate
Let’s pretend there’s a world still out there
Without a care
And we’ll get there
Let’s pretend that there’s a world still out there
Waiting somewhere
And we’ll get there someday
Why not scuba on Europa
Climb Olympus Mons
Set your sights on Venus
Why don’t ya
Someday

Really liking when the horns come in.
I wasn't aware of the city pop genre before I saw it showing up here this FAWM; sounds like something I'd like to explore.
Yours is pretty lively with that cheery piano rhythm and those great horns.
Also, really like the soft vocals and the vocal melody.
This has a lot of energy yet I can still feel some melancholy in the lyrics and vocals.

Vivid, relatable lyrics, and I like the shift to the bigger travel dreams at the end. The patches you picked give it a sort of 80s sitcom theme feel to me! Nice rhythm in the piano part.

That piano figure is really pretty - I like those seventh voicings especially. And some nice surprises in the chord changes later on. Nice groove, too. I'm really feeling this kind of FOMO.

Let’s pretend there’s still a world out there is such a pandemic mood. This is a really lovely listen, thank you!
