I do love rhymezone
I tried to get a kazoo on there instead of the dreaded mouth trumpet but alas, non in sight, and the new one I had kicking around from some Christmas past broke right out of the package. ($.99 job from some 5&10)
I feel pretty and not to be witty
I was designed by a committee
So don’t you fret I’ll be your baby tonight
I’m so handsome, Pinochle of mansome
I tell you I’m worth a kings ransome
So don’t you fret I’ll be your baby tonight
Ya my beer bellied grin, my grizzled grey chin
To my morning mouth reeking of gin
And let me just bring it in for the win
I tune just as good as an old mandolin
Ya I’m so great, putting on weight
Aren’t you glad you chose me as a mate
Don’t you fret I’ll be your pretty baby tonight

Awesome. Sounds classic. Get ol' blue eyes on it! :-)
Or King Louis from the jungle book. Sounds great :-)

This is delightful with the tongue and cheek egocentrism that makes me smile! Your delivery is spot on perfect and I love the vocal mouth trumpet noodling!
@cicpisces Feb 2022
Very strong vocal. Playful lyrics. I like that retro swingalong vibe. Some great descriptive images. Nice skirmish. Love the improvised trumpet. :)
@artie Feb 2022
Well written and well executed! That was a really enjoyable listen that put a smile on my face. Great mouth trumpet chops too, I think you just inspired me to break out my mouth tuba. ;)
@gordon Feb 2022
You had me at the first couple of rhyming lines. This is really enjoyable and sounds timeless to me, which is a good thing. Nice delivery and a good balance between the guitar and vocals. Thanks for posting
@paulroe Feb 2022
You have a great voice! I want to hope for humanity's sake that your vocal style and timbre is still among us 200 years from now. Culture evolves, but some things should always have a place - Wanted to add:: This manages being ironic without seeming ironic in tone. That is cool as well!
@apolez3 Feb 2022
Wonderfully done... Sounds like you're singing in a Casino in Las Vegas.
@tcelliott Feb 2022
Oh, I love that classic feel and the vocal delivery works perfectly. That "beer bellied grin" is quite the image and such a tasty turn of phrase. Can't help but smile while listening.
