My Daddy called me down
Son there's gonna be
A New star in the world
You May not be happy
and you may not be sad
but there's a chance you might be glad
Because
Look the cars
Look at the trains
Look at all things they're so Pretty
Pretty soon we'll all be waiting by the highway
trying to catch a glimpse of you

Cool bass. A fun, upbeat tune. Nice skirmish.
@nahlej381 Feb 2022
Hell yes! Sorta psychobilly Devo vibes and the break is dope. Dude you’re a beast!
@mardeycranbleson Feb 2022
Love the sound of this - like Paul roe trying to figure out what it’s all about lol but enjoyed it nonetheless
@cicpisces Feb 2022
Nice attitude to this. Has a retro feel to it. But its simplicity is what appeals. A winning beat keeps the interest. Nice.
@cblack Feb 2022
Ha! Love it! The drums tie this all together, giving a platform for some fun vocals. Great job!
@paulroe Feb 2022
Nice ambiguity here. Read it through 5 times and still not quite sure if there is a linear narrative or if I would better understand this by abandoning those conventions and reading it as an inner monologue that resembles a narrative in superficial form only.
A mutual admiration society of stellar being and humankind is suggested. Then again, the narrator and subject may shift, which could place this closer to a four dimensional conjuring of death and eternity
The musical style is pretty cool too, though I admit to having fixated on the verses to a lopsided extent.
@artie Feb 2022
I love the way you constructed the music… from drum selection, to the way you layered the chords over the bass line. It makes me happy and hits an emotional string at the same time.
@apolez3 Feb 2022
Nice beats~ interesting echo'y affect
@thedutchwidows Feb 2022
This has such a cool sound. It reminds me a little of the band Suicide (who I love!). The synths and that fat bass sound, with the great rhythm to the lyrics. Really cool work,
@hmstreetteam Feb 2022
This is a punkish sentiment and a startlingly effective production. Everything supports the story with nothing to soften or diffuse it.
@odilongreen Feb 2022
I really like the catchy organ (?) riff. The whole song has a swell kind of anti-consumerist proto-(or maybe post) punk feel. Strange in all the right ways, and makes me want to play it and bounce along over and over again!
@tcelliott Feb 2022
That repeated bit at the end is great. And a great use of delay there. The music is so damn happy sounding, you can't help but think of pretty things.
@writeandwrong Feb 2022
Gotta Pretty Vacant Sex Pistols vibe to it. Catchy performance. I always read the lyrics first and i"m like hmmm, but as soon as you were performing it I was like... yeahhhhhhh... Nice!!
@mikeskliar Feb 2022
wow, this is quite the production! wild- with the acapella section and all, this is really quite the recording! very interesting lyric 'you maybe not be happy... but there's a chance you'll be glad'
@coolparadiso Feb 2022
Nice use if the prompt. Love that sound straight up the organ is great. Could have come straight off the live stiffs tour. Really nice!
@metalfoot Feb 2022
Catchy chord riff and I liked that echoey bit a lot!
@chroes Feb 2022
All the fun retro feelz! Like 60s hammond organ meets 80s punk pop! The single elements form a great whole. And very catchy indeed!
@ajna1960 Feb 2022
This has a great late 70s early 80s Brit ska sound to it, kinda. I really enjoyed my listen, thank you.
@pearlmanhattan Feb 2022
Catchy! Great take on the prompt! Good Skirmish!
@whispermouse Feb 2022
Catchy tune, and the layered echoes a super cool! Nice skirmish.
@carleybaer Feb 2022
I like the build! And I like the delivery of "they're so pretty". This had me smiling the whole time, well done!
