@mahtowin: To do something funny was our goal today. We started with using everything which made a sound: a bottle of water, some pens on the table, my drum and - very important - my singing bowls. We also used a dc and I was playing Blue Moon, my e-bass.
As we came to the lyrics I had the idea to use the wonderful names from my Yoga asanas ... while thinking about that I immediately had the asanas in my mind which I never do correctly: the Tree, the Dancer and the f**** peacock. I practice Yoga since several years but always on a basic level and thats ok for me ...
Next step was Duke adding his vocals to mine and this turn out so funny!
Duke also played keys and made the whole arrangement!
@dukemeyer
We had no plans - just fun.
Gear:
Singing bowles, bottle of water, pencil box, (knocking on) table, Ashley (mike: Røde NT1), Kleiner Silbie (mike preamp: Behringer MIC100 Tube Ultragain), Wahlhall (delay/reverb/chorus on vocals: TC Electronic DRV250-DT), Fiona (bodhran drum), Nöck (synth pad: Waldorf Blofeld), Blinki (controller keyboard: Novation Launchkey Mini MK3), Blue Moon (bass: Ibanez SR300E), Molch (beat machine & recording unit: Zoom R8), Micki (DAW arrangement & mixdown: Acoustica Mixcraft Studio Pro 9).
Relax now! Breath in - breath out and go deep into relaxation!
I do the Fish.
I am good at the Candle.
I really love the Sleeping Dove.
I do the beautiful panther.
and - of course - I do the Sun Salut.
I am good at the Warrior.
I do the Plow and the Cobra.
But I never ever do the tree!
No, not me!
And I never ever do the Dancer!
I will never get my right foot to my left ear.
And if, you have to call the ambulance.

I had to hear this - my wife and I are yoga teachers, and we own a studio!
Fun mish-mash of sounds, and more of that bass! Love the humor - you two were having fun!

WHAHAHAHAHA! Großartig! Ich lach mich schlapp! ("You get the whole wood!")

Very cool and fun! I enjoyed this a lot. I even laughed out loud a few times. Moreover, I also found myself relaxing and breathing more deeply along with the slow, steady rhythm. So in addition to being amusing, this song was also helpful! Thanks!

Oh this is fun! Most of the pose references resonate with me as I have been attempting to do yoga for ten years, first starting with videos and a few Wii games. Then when I met @chipwithrow at an open mic, he told me about his wife yoga classes and I have regularly attended their yoga studio since. Also I have a singing bowl (in C) somewhere. My right foot will also never be anywhere near my left ear LOL.

Haha - lustig. Bei meiner nächsten Yogastunde werde ich daran sicher denken und es schwer haben mich zu konzentrieren :D
Super gemacht ihr Beiden :*
@ryuu Feb 2022
I can relate so much! Had a few nasty injuries in the past years and now my trees and dancers are very wobbly.
@gardeningangel1 Feb 2022
I love this soooo much! I practice yoga and keeping a good sense of humor about it is an important part of my practice. The way you say deeeep and the chanting interwoven voices... the giggling...
From now on I will always think of mayurasana as The F***ing Peacock...and I will likely never ever ever be able to do it. ;)
