The obligatory song abut my cat Stanley.
I know your type
I've seen you before
You're a cutie wootie dootie
with your four paws
and your silly talk
and your leonine walk
the loping way that you stalk
prey even if it's just my poor
foot on the linoleum floor
your name is Stanley the Cutie Boy
and boy oh boy
you've got me
Stanley Boy
An one day Stanley Boy, that Cutie Boy, spoke to me and said:
"I heard the sound of a clarinet played by a marionette in a bassinet and then on a bet the marshals of the hard sell dispatched marshmallow messengers with mushy messages and marvelous messes of malpractice and misanthropy, misogyny and mystery and the thing a ling begins this thing of starting to sing while he’s giving his cousin a ring, and there was a thing, and there was a fling, and it didn’t mean anything said the frog to the starling who eventually forgave him."

I love that relentless drum beat and your trademark brand of drumming. This reminds me of the way I talk to my cats. They've definitely got me. This is really joyful. So good! (And thanks to the comments below, I've learned what a motorik beat is)

Why am I not surprised your cat would also speak in alliterated allegories and riddled rhymes :D For sure the best cutie wootie dootie
This is fabulous! that incessant drum beat and that crazed out guitar fading in and out is so well done. All the vocal layering bouncing around in my head is also so fantastic. This whole thing just is packed full of some manic energy I can completely chill out and relax to :D Its hypnotic in a strange way. I don't think it was possible I could of loved this more! It was even better the second time around ;)

always into a good motorik beat. the beat, vocal delivery and guitars remind me of Washing Machine era Sonic Youth, which is my favourite of their eras!

Inisting bass and drums and a subtle wall of guitar: can't go wrong here. The way this fades out is really cool, it's been a while since I heard a song fade out. The introduction of the frog was unexpected but well received here, forgiveness is a good trait, in the end.
@kanttila Feb 2022
Hell ya. This got more out of control at the end then I thought it would, cool! Stanley really had something interesting to say at the end there.
@pfoo Feb 2022
Oh, the motorik beat keeps it driving! Cool bass line, yeah, I'm groovin too! The changes in intensity and emotion are great, and possibly unmatched in songs about cats.
@silvermediapro Feb 2022
i'm groovin to this bassline, & the vocal delivery is low-key very captivating!
@wolfkier Feb 2022
Is he the most regaled kitty on the internet? Perhaps.
Is he the kitty with the best regaling on the internet? For sure.
Really enjoyable. There's such a personal human/cat communication expressed here. The "lerve" is palpable, the purr is is deafening.
Well done.
Great to see you here this month again too! Thanks for the (always) kind words, my friend!

Well I was with ya right up until Stan started talking to ya.
I'm thinking that you may have made that part up.
Then again, that *does* sound like something a cat might say.
Oh I love that bass figure.
Your layered vox always crack me up, like you're having a conversation with yourself.
That percussion is savage.
Nicely done for sure!
