A couple months back, I got an instrument/sampler called Tapes.01 and for this track, I ran my guitar melody through it to make it more lo-fi and unpredictable.
For the rest of the instrumental, I utilized my violin bow and eBow on my telecaster, which was a lot of fun. This might be some sort of interlude track on whatever album I fully produce next.
For the longest time, I thought I had to be overseas to be happy
And that’s so far from the truth
I didn’t realize back then that maybe I was running
Running away from things that I feared
Like finishing school and getting my grown-up, big boy job, basically
And then I met you
And you gave me the motivation that I needed to finish school
And I may not be working the job that I want for the rest of my life
But you’re giving me a reason to do it
And I couldn’t thank you anymore
I love you so much
You’re making me a better person
You really are
I love you

Really enjoyed the video and the song! The tricks you used on the guitar all sound great—very lovely textures, and the lyrics are really sweet and heartfelt.

Aw, how nice!
Great little story here!
That backing track is super lush and awesome.
Really good work.

Gorgeous instrumentals and an even more beautiful sentiment. That’s love at it’s best; two people bringing out the best in each other. This would make a great interlude track.
