Feb 2022 jazz ragtime one-shot solo-piano instrumental live
This was going to be a cakewalk entitled "Because I Can" but I realised in my pre-recording runthrough that it wasn't cake I was going to be eating after it. Wince. Granted I'm out of practice but I do, I really do understand why concert pianists late in their career get addicted to pain killers...
There is a MIDI recording of this which I will clean up, later. Much later.

Nice! Ibuprofanity has been my jam for the past four days too, thanks to a nasty tooth problem. Can't say I've been getting any artistic inspiration from it though, unlike you!
@chipwithrow Feb 2022
Such good-time fun - the title fits, in the sense that I bet you could come up with some really clever lyrics.
I loved playing ragtime as a kid - my teacher told me she'd teach me how as long as I continued to play classical music, too.
@danvaillancourt Feb 2022
Fun jazzy ragtime-y tune. I totally feel the aches.. especially in the winter with hours of playing music at a time!
@momentegalerie Feb 2022
Oh i feel your Ibuprofen consume. Gave me an idea. Thanks for sharing!
@scubed Feb 2022
Irresistible title for a delightfully jaunty piece! I understand all too well how frustrating it can be when something one used to do effortlessly starts causing all kinds of mysterious aches and pains. Ibuprofen is one of my good friends.
@audrey Feb 2022
What a great title for this piece. Ha ha. And what a very jaunty and catchy tune it is too. I really enjoyed it. :)
@sheilerk Feb 2022
Well, THAT was FUN! For me anyway. Sorry about your achies! It sounded wonderful. Ibuprofen is definitely our friend.
@mrblitz000 Feb 2022
this is some great playing!
@wolfkier Feb 2022
Jaunty and fun outing, fueled by the candy of champions. Well done, and very enjoyable.
Thanks for your kind words about my first. Much appreciated: :)
@karan Feb 2022
Aaaah, I get it! This lovely music is like a painkiller in sound form - it has worked, my headache is gone! :-)
@readwrite Feb 2022
Loved this. All the new ideas coming at me, from within the style! great stuff. Hope your hands recover fast!
@gilhari Feb 2022
Catchy hook… nice bones… I enjoyed it quite a bit… what a range of music…
@kristi Feb 2022
This is very enjoyable. Easily lights up the room and invites you to be in a good mood. I like the bouncy feel. Very cool.
@anthonykapfer666 Feb 2022
i really enjoyed this. right before i listened i just happened to hurt my hand so i feel your pain. great playing
@marijequerida Feb 2022
Oh I really enjoy this, it makes me think of hanging out in a French café, for some reason. Jazzy and groovy - such a pleasure to listen to!
@blindkiwi Feb 2022
That is a lively number for sore fingers. Cool tinkling Mr Tim
@sbs2018 Feb 2022
Yes, cool little ditty, of which I am such a fan!
@phylo Feb 2022
I have taken an Ibuprofen walk. I love this little ditty, it's such a cool style. Enjoyed this immensely!
@metalfoot Feb 2022
And there are those of us who are not allowed to have ibuprofen. Fun jazzy romp!
@mikeskliar Feb 2022
Very nice, jazzy and Jaunty. Love the second iteration of the theme in which you go up a little higher / and those great little rests which fit the theme so well! Great fun, and could be expanding if you want either vocally or instrumentally. Funny title, I can relate
@cindyrella Feb 2022
This is such a great ragtime gem! Really enjoyed this!
@ductapeguy Feb 2022
Nice indeed. I relate to the ibuprofen part.
@skylermf Feb 2022
I loooove a good ragtime song. Beautiful, dissonant bits in here really make it for me, and the main repeated melody is a real earworm
@richaaaay Feb 2022
That makes for pleasant start to the day.
@badgag Feb 2022
Wow this is an awesome listen. Love how freeing it sounds, made me very happy and now all I want to do is go and listen to some live jazz. :)
@kahlo2013 Feb 2022
Oh sorry it is painful for you… it is a delightfully engaging bouncy jaunty and a little haunty (with chord choices) piece that makes me smile and makes me forget about my first of the morning aches and pains. Love it!
@ryuu Feb 2022
ouch, I hope the ibuprofen helped! Fun little piece and a lot of intricate work in there.
@dh3 Feb 2022
This is brilliant - I'm very envious of your free-and-easy piano sound (though know it's by no means easy to create that sound). Hope the painkillers help!
