A cathartic song, releasing me from the inevitability of the past so I can go ahead and explore the future without baggage. Walking is both a metaphor and a reality... Just what ever you do keep your eyes open so you can see clearly forwards, but way more importantly see backwards with clarity.
I've been walking down these
rocky roads
for so long now
that I don't look back
I've been walking down these
rocky roads for
so long now
that I don't know
where I'm a going
Should I keep going forwards
or
should I turn around
and find my way home?
Used to be
I could make you laugh
Thought I knew what Love was
Knew what Love was...
But now today, well
It's come to pass
that I don't know what love is
Should I keep going forwards or
should I turn around
and find my way home
find my way home...
find my way home....
find my way home...
find my way home.....
I look,
I listen,
I see,
This road ain't
too tough for me
no its not,
well
will I keep going forwards or..
will I settle down and call this
home....

Dig this. Like the guitar playing and composition.

There's a dissonance to the guitar parts that I never quite got used to, and I think that's a good thing for the point of the song. Interesting uncomfortable feeling that really works!
