In another live impro here I’ve used the app beatwave to generate loops in real-time. The only way I’ve got on with this app has been to create fairly tonally nebulous stuff - I mean I don’t work out where the chords are on the grid though I suppose I ‘should’ but I do like a method of working that has a completely different quality about it. I dont quite know how it’s going to sound till I write it then I’d edit it until I got something I liked. This year I suppose what I’m trying to do is see if I can ensure the process I use has matured to the point where I can confidently create ‘in real time’ either working with ‘mistakes’ or not making them by improving how I set myself up etc.
It was created during the skirmish time when I couldn’t log on ( 4 pm yesterday)

Nice. I like me a little bit of atonal riffage now and again, and it's very impressive that you managed to do the whole thing "live" so to speak.

Enjoy your vids not many people recording the entire songwriting process! Also get to see a lot of cool apps. I used to be obsessive about trying different ones out but I gave it up a while ago, if I use my phone (which is rare) I just work in garageband now. other than voice memos.

That is lovely and it's fascinating to watch the process too. It hits such a nice groove about 5 minutes in once you've built it all up - can you see that coming, i.e. is that what you're actively working towards, or is it less deliberate than that?

Fascinating to see you do this in real time. I don't know this app, but I'll certainly check it out now. It's like a digital one-take I suppose and it builds up into something really catchy. Thank you for sharing this.
