Feb 2022 cyberrock
From the 'dislocated finger' guitar session, 3-Feb-2022.
Without the use of the pinky on the fingering hand, went ahead and laid down 13 guitar parts.
Schecter Diamond Series Guitar. Caline Gale Force Dyna Compressor, British Sound, Puffer Fuzz, Splitter with Behringer UV300 Vibrato on the left, then L/R Caline Time Force Echo Delays, and ART Tube MP pre-amps; Tascam DR-40x Recorder.
For these first 9 songs, rapidly prototyped in Renoise, then some details added after the vocal sessions (4-5 Feb 2022).
hi mom how are you
apologies for all i have ever put you through
the medical protocols have locked you away
the zeitgeist does not believe in live for today
as you know, dad passed just last year
and before that, youngest sister dear
as a matter of fact people are passing every day
when i were a child i weren't so painfully aware it were this way
we thought that we could live forever
but that is just and adolescent dream
decades later it seems as though never
will fruition come to any half-baked scheme
so mother it seems we're all passing now
and maybe there is another side
someplace beyond a person's wildest dreams
someplace perchance east of eden
just maybe, that place is called home
where the deer and the buffalo roam
and the rivers flow in magnificence
in the shadow of multicolored, bannered, tents
and alas, there is no rent

This is really touching. That opening is really great with the high floaty beeps and boops. It adds to the whimsical dreamy feel of the adolescent dreams. Beautiful write and melody as well here in the vocals and the guitar line, that's also a really great floaty fuzz. Great stuff!

That's some nice energy right there! Love the fast opening. Really solid track. Nice work. :)

bringing the blitz! This is really lovely.
Sorry to hear about the finger issue, but valiant effort, despite.
And if this is autobiographical there's so much pain in this set, there's a (non-alegorical) real world personal feel to this that I don't remember from past song of yours, and the vocal's treated different and the bells and whistles are subtler. It's different, rich in a richer way.. One of the great things about doing these challenges so long is hearing this evolution... well done. I'll check out a few more soon...
Great to see you here again, my friend. Hugs.
