This is my annual contribution to @Metalfoot's #fakeit Challenge where he provides a fake sheet (lyrics and chords), and you have to interpret the song from that. I messed up on programming the 3rd verse, so I sang the third verse over the solo section. Oops. Fake it till you make it.

I like the lift and dynamics of the chorus. Sort of Roy Orbison vibe to it.
Nice guitar work and melody
Very good version

There's a lot going on beneath your vocal. Lots of cool sounds. The guitar does sound spacey!
@andygetch Feb 2022
The sad sparse spacey guitar definitely makes this one!

I love your take on the chorus, with the floaty pad in the background, rounding into the bendy guitar sound - your vox come just peeking through the haze and it has a nice quality to it.

I also dig the opening sounds. It’s so interesting to hear all the different versions. I’m looking forward to doing mine soon

I dig that lead lead guitar thing whatever it is that comes in the beginning. And the ending is brilliant. Let that fade a bit though and it'll be more epic.

Just listened to the originator's, fascinating to hear how how different in melody and feel. The twangy reverb strat makes this one!

Great idea for a challenge - I think I saw some songs going around like this last year, maybe? Love the electric guitar hook, and that big wash of…whatever that is - coming in on the chorus, which works great along with the big melodic lift at that point.

So I kinda don't understand how this challenge works (lol) but that didn't stop me from enjoying this song. Love that twing-twang of the guitar!

Getting almost a George Harrison kinda vibe from the style you did here. I like!
