Can I put this in a big cereal bowl and eat in on Saturday morning while watching cartoons??
I don't even know where to start.
Literally sitting here with my mouth open.
First off, I came to your profile because you made the entrance music post, and then I saw Snarky Puppy, Soulive, and Herbie in your influences.
"Ok, let's listen to something."
I push play and I hear the most beautiful squarey video game lead-ish sound with this sleepy melody (love the title mixed with what my ears are hearing) on top of those equally sleepy drums.
I really agree with dock below about how this feels like someone making music while nodding off. The sustained and crescendo-ing pad at like 2:00 feels like you nodded off while playing that chord - something I've actually done before.
After that section the synth lead solo is absolutely 100% my kind of style; love it so so very much. One of my favorite things I've heard this FAWM, hands down.
The drum programming here is so tight but loose at the same time; admittedly, I've made drum tracks where I really am so sleepy or tired, I literally just let my hands kinda fall on my midi controller and roll around. This sounds like a much tighter and more well done and coherent version of that and it sounds so good.
This is dreamy, hectic, peaceful, playful, ominous at spots, and just all around wonderful.
I can hear bits of that Herbie flavor during your lead solos without a doubt.
Thank you for this track.
I get the "sleepy" reference, sometimes you just have more momentum than brain cells and all this wild stuff starts to come while you are drifting off. Beautiful use of the orchestral and synth sounds combined.

Nice. Bouncy. Cool groove. The dark change was a surprise! Lots going on there. I like the 808 sounding toms

Nice layering, love the drums and percussion. Great orchestral work too, what library did you use?

Yeah sleepy doesn’t seem to work as the title for me… I’m thinking something like ‘Loud discovery’. Great job!
