I came home to Charlie playing guitar in my kitchen and this spilled out in like 3 minutes.
Absolutely no whiskey involved here, move along.
You keep saying I’ll go home, we both know it’s not true
I’m gonna reap what I’ve sown, I’ve spent all season loving you
Love is a garden
Some things grow, some things die
I’ve got a few acres, baby
Let me know what you can find
I’ll drive you to your door any time of night
I’ll defend your tarnished honor, babe, and put up a hell of a fight
Love is a garden
Some things grow, some things die
I’ve got a few acres, baby
Let me know what you can find
Remember that old bartender, Krista don’t call us no more
She’s gone anathema, I wonder what she’s looking for

Damn this is great. Really powerful lyrics and I love how organic and raw this recording is.

I love the blues. Your voice is great here. Really like the word picture of love being a garden. Great tune.

What a great feel to this. Both in the writing and the performance. I love your vocal here. And Charlie's playing is pretty tasty, too.

Stuff of legend! Love the stripped backness of it all. Excellent vocals, cool riffs and a great chorus.

I really love the bluesy emotional honest feeling conversation between the vocals and guitar. Wonderfully rich and organic feel. Love that build up and break down … the garden is a great metaphor for both cultivating the richness of love and recognizing that so much is beyond our control.

Top stuff from both of you. Internet collaboration's a great thing, but god it's nice to hear two people playing off each other in the same room.

Something honest being sung right here! Listen up!

I really love the vibe of this and the sparse simplicity
