This one is a style that feels a bit out of my comfort zone. Very simple arrangement for now.
chorus:
when you called me
i gave you my heart
I want to follow in your steps
when you called me
you knew my heart
i want to come into your rest
v1:
these confusing paths that lay ahead of me
all fade away
when i close my eyes i lean into your presence
i feel your comfort and your love
and i will pick my feet up once again
v2:
when i don’t know how to
carry on you are strong
you made the path your way is sure
(and your love is pure)
you gave your life so I might live
so i will give, all of me
and i will pick my feet up once again

Thanks for your encouragement on "Open the Door to Your Heart". Your "When You Called" is good testimony even without naming names. Most of my songs of faith are that way too. Very uplifting song. Thanks

coming from the recommendation thread. I love this.. it doesn't sound out of your comfort zone at all!! it's a beautiful little gem, I love the rythm of it.Like Robyn I enjoyed the picking up your feet part

Very sweet acoustic pop song! If this is out of your comfort zone then I suggest you go there more often.

Punchy, fun tune. Awesome firstfruits song. I think the arrangement is good being simple. Lends itself well to group singing. I'm glad I stumbled across this one. :-)

I love the gentle percussion and double-tracked vocals. This has a kind of Rusted Root feel. I like the part where you sing "and I will pick my feet up again." What a beautiful first fruits song!
