If you've heard my music before, you'll know that this is WAY out of my comfort zone but I wanted to push myself. I am no sound engineer, I know very little about electronic music but I LOVE Bon Iver and I wanted to try and make a track in that style. I have loved doing it but it won't be replacing my acoustic any time soon.
Would love to know what you think about this one. I know it's not what you have come to expect from me.
Cool sun, fading
Your skin, wasting
Four past ten, 'bout time
Cutting out, lifelines
I've been where you are
I know how you feel
It's empty enough
It's empty enough
Never knew love as strong
Never knew how to hold on
But I'm hanging on now
Never knew how to say
I loved you anyway
But now I'm letting you go
And I break down
Breathe in, breathe out
Leaving, no doubt
Find a way, back home
Run fast, eyes closed
I know who you are
I know what you hide
It's all you can bare
It's all you can bare
Never knew love as strong
Never knew how to hold on
But I'm hanging on now
Never knew how to say
I loved you anyway
But now I'm letting you go
Never knew love as strong
Never knew how to hold on
But I'm hanging on now
Never knew how to say
I loved you anyway
But now I'm letting you go
And I break down

Man, keep on branching out - talent is talent no matter where you take it! Love the vibe going on here - the many yous popping out from all over the place to create every part of the song. Behind the meticulously assembled drum track obviously. Splendid.

If I’m honest this isn’t as accomplished as your acoustic songs but there’s a lot to like and it’s always good to try and get out of your comfort zone. I’d say the percussion sounds a bit lightweight. Something more bassy generally in the mix is possibly required.

This is bonkers and I love it. Go FAWM for pushing us out of our comfort zones!!

Well its in your zone coz you killed it. Really well done. Hit you target between the eyes.

Omg Steveo this blew my mind. If ever there is a safe place to try out something left field, fawm is it. This is crazy good experiment too. Maybe Bon Tanner should join Mandolin Fire?!

This is lovely. I reckon you've nailed the Bon Iver feel and sound!

I see what you mean about Bon Iver. Reminds me a bit of Thom Yorke too. Well done you for getting out of your comfort zone, nice work.

Wow! Very much of a Bon Iver feel like you said. That's the beauty of trying new angles. Very cool.

Ooh this is a bit different!
