Very rough but started late...like the prompt said.
I'm tryin' to get it goin'
Time just keeps on rollin'
Better late than never
I hoped that I could do it
Should be nothin' to it
Better late than never
There's a fly in the ointment
Don't succumb to dissapointment
Better late than never
One thing is for certain
Ain't no need for hurtin'
It's better late than never
Ch
Better late
You'll have to wait
To see how it comes out
Ignore the crush
Ain't no rush
To find out what it's all about
Gettin' close to night time
Still lookin' for the right rhyme
Better late than never
Got to clear my head now
Time to go to bed now
Better late than never
Whatever

Love that jazzy riff.
Love the sentiment and your laid back vocals.
Great hook.
Amazing for a skirmish

What a cool groove!! Great delay used as a kind of train. Very jazzy. Great one

I do love a good electronic acoustic hybrid. Best of both worlds! 'Looking for the right rhyme' is the story of my entire life! <3

Love the energy. Has me movin' around a bit. Enjoyed it!
@acousticmaddie Feb 2022
Cool and very good intensity and drive. I missed your voice
@keithcuts Feb 2022
dope back beat to get it going
the guitar and vocal range contrast made for a well rounded sonic scape and drew me in
the point of it all is clear and present
fun vocal delivery
an enjoybale listen JW!

Love the driving rhythm underneath, and that chorus just soars - brilliant! Great delivery on Whatever too.
@markg Feb 2022
Great groove, I'd love to hear a funk group like Ohio Players get their hands on this one.
@hmstreetteam Feb 2022
This has an earthy sophistication. The groove gives the feeling of taking it all, a lot of things, in stride. This could set the tone for a late-night setting.

What a great groove and pace! Toe tapping great stuff!
@metalfoot Feb 2022
That groove in the guitar line is worth the price of admission and yet there's a catchy tune and lyrics too!!!
@sheilerk Feb 2022
Very cool. So many good couplets and rhymes. I liked how you wrapped it up, too. I just liked it all!!
@pearlmanhattan Feb 2022
I love the push and the almost stumbling feeling in the percussion and the guiltar - short punchy lyrics that lead into the fading out "never..." just contributes to that tripping feeling! Well done! Good skirmish!

I love the instrumentation. And I'm a fan of the idea of a song not always have a chorus, instead using just a kind of a tag. Great job!
