Feb 2022 country-folk
First song is a terrible faux-country number that I intend to bin, but I'm treating it as a warm up. Please ignore this one!
UNDER THE SUN (TAKE ME AS I AM)
D A
Take me as I am
I ain't got much to give
I'm a poor man's son
With a simple life to live
C G
But I ain't lonely
I ain't missing anyone
I felt at home when I am only
Am D
Living under the sun
I find me where I am
I drop my coat and drink the wine
Don't have much time to give
But I don't have a mountain to climb
Oh but I ain't forgiving
And I ain't missing no-one
Ain't got a home to call my own
Living under the sun
F C
And it feels so peaceful
Head empty of thought
Being contemplating nothing
But an eternity of nought
C G
I am full of joy for living
And I don't need no-one
I ain't lonely or forgiving
Just living under the sun

It's a good first go! I think the simple guitar works here. I like the key shifts, as it gives a real mood change with a simple chord pattern. Good write.
