First, I want to apologize to listeners - this is the longest song I've posted on FAWM (although I have written many as long)!
When I first heard the 'Juno 60 Strings' patch on the Surge VSTi synthesizer, I knew I wanted to use it for a song soon, but should have thought a little harder - it has a very long 'attack' which made timing tough when it was the first thing I tracked.
The 'boat name' I found on Tam's challenge was 'Mystic of Time', so I added the 'The' - and its not about a boat, of course!
The Mystic of Time
Silver robes like waterfalls
Shining in the pale moonlight
Passing across the lands
Like a spirit in the night
Depthless eyes that see everything
Sparkling like jewels on fire
Peering deep into souls
To push consciousness ever higher
It’s been shown that time doesn’t move
We are traveling through it half blind
There’s so much we can’t see with our eyes
Listen to the Mystic of Time
Wandering through broken lands
Sometimes present, sometimes past
Trying to touch closed minds
And bring peace at last
It’s been shown that time doesn’t move
We are traveling through it half blind
There’s so much we can’t see with our eyes
Listen to the Mystic of Time
Seconds minutes hours
Days months years
Forget fears
Dry the tears
Past present and future are here
It’s been shown that time doesn’t move
We are traveling through it half blind
There’s so much we can’t see with our eyes
Listen to the Mystic of Time

Beautiful. I especially like the additional synth sounds starting at about 3.25. And what you did with the different vocal tracks is awesome. Don't apologize, please, this should not have been one second shorter.

kind of trippy and very magical. I really like that synth!

My word, Mike, you're going into some fascinating places musically. :)
Lovely lyric as well. Those first two verses really set the scene.
Tremendous!

I used a Juno 60 in my first band!it is a lovely sound. I'm hearing a Phil Collins sound hear musically and vocally so I was happy when the drums kicked in.

This is captivating in every way. The first two verses are absolutely stunning visually. I love the musical accompaniment. It has a lovely mystical feel. I enjoyed this so much!

Love it! Very 60s folk fantasy. Needs some Jethro Tull style flute playing.

And you got the didgeridoo in there too! Nice writing and so smooth.

Really enjoyed listening - that haunting melody and the wonderful harmonies - love it

Sweet vocal harmonies in the chorus, really lifts it up. The synth and the nylon string guitar play very well together. Wonderful composition with just the right amount of familiar pop/rock elements mixed with psychedelia. The vocal melody flows very pleasantly.

Opening verses are really descriptive, really like where the prompt took you and the production does match the lyric. Thank you for doing the Boat Name Challenge!
