This building floods
But were on the seventh floor
A round wooden table
The missing chairs are up against the door
It is a chore
He reads aloud
Same as before
On my page
Someone drew an elephant
This really set the stage
Cause they focus on the bill “bring your pets”
And all boxes go unchecked
Watch for that grin
Enough indifference to fill a whole syringe
Will you get a benefit
If I file it in a cabinet
A call to be painless
To the line of euthanasia
Well this building floods
But the signs are staying on the walls
Todays date on the seventh floor
The time and place for the New Years Ball
Come one come all
But the knocks are silenced by a curtain call
Still you'll get through the door
The letters will crumple on the floor
Will you get a benefit
If I file it in a cabinet
A call to be painless
To the line of euthanasia
Will you get a benefit
If I file it in a cabinet
A call to be painless
To the line of euthanasia

Lovely vocals, nice phrasing and a well told story.
'Enough indifference to fill a whole syringe"great line.

This brand of storytelling making for great songs, that syringe line is *evocative* as heck. Also your vocal melodies kick ass. (BACKING VOCALS an octave down was a great touch, almost angelic ending)

What a cool chord progression! What a magical voice too. Really dig the imagery in your lyrics. There is a bizarreness - almost like Alice in Wonderland - that is captivating

The chord progression is really fresh. Love the fast picking and soaring vocals. Disturbing, evocative words.
