Feb 2022 fawmtronica old-folkie-with-sampler maschine
Yesterday and today I was putting the arpreggiator through its paces on my Maschine.
I'm primarily an acoustic folkie but I've been monkeying with a Native instruments Maschine Controller for about 4 months. I have been using Melodics to help me learn basic finger drumming skills (and assist me with trying to understand that thing that drummers do). I am just now at the stage where I can load samples, craft loops and assemble them into something resembling a song. I am going to try do a sample based something every day this FAWM. They are not polished productions but my path to adding these modern tools to my box of crayons. If anyone wishes to expand on these sketches, add lyrics, etc.., drop me a line and I can hook you up with Maschine files (and maybe midi if I learn how to export those).
Nope-- if you hear some let me know and we can collab.

jinkies that's (NI maschine) a flight deck!
Have you seen the teenage engineering range of mini machines?

I have a couple and they are good fun, I shall make a FAWM song with one at some point.

googles Native instruments :)

Funny groovy. This was a pleasure to listen to. I still got the tune in my mind though the music already stopped.

Lovely sketch, I like the switch between the faster parts and slower parts and the sweet lead line!

The way that melody wanders is delightful -- I like the way it alternates between half- and double-time.

That lead line sounds like something from an old Nintendo game and that's cool. That little shimmery thing is a really nice texture.
I found you via the #maschine tag :)
What did you use for the arpeggiator?

This is one of those tunes that makes me think I need to buy more gadgets. Fortunately I'm running out of space. Nice melody and overall feel - to be honest I don't think it needs lyrics and it's probably better without!

Joyous

A fun jogalong groove. I keep stopping myself from buying a Maschine pad. Perhaps I should.

I liked it!! I’m trying to “discover” electronic music. The one think I haven’t done is written a melody, I’ve only created a mood. I need to do more of what you’re doing.....

Nice enjoyable groove. The background flavor adds an interesting element while still letting the melody float over it. I’m an acoustic folky too, but I like it.

I really dig this overall, especially once it finds its groove. I think your goal of experimenting and stretching is a worthy one and I am glad I am getting to know you through your music. I'm glad you're here, too!
