Prompt #2: Write about a habit you would like to change
Its 2am; laying in bed
Staring at the ceiling
Ruminating over things that haven’t happened yet
So stuck inside my head
Dwelling now for days
Anxious again
Replaying every mistake I have ever made
All day long just shuffling along
I need a distraction from overreaction
Criticising, analysing, strategising
It all gets the best of me
I might be an overthinker
Sitting with my tea
Contemplating leaves
Picking apart decisions piece by piece
Countless hours pass while I rehash the past
Wish that I could cease thinking ‘bout short comings
Worst case scenarios are all I see
Imagination running wild
Why can’t I break this habit of mine?
I spend my day overthinking
Analysing. Criticising.
Second guessing. It’s exhausting.
Stuck inside my head

This is great. Love the chorus - very catchy. Great lyrics too

Um... how did you get a camera in my mirror? :)
Seriously - this is spot on! Love the lyric and progression and everything. The arrangement and track is just fantastic!
I think this is for sure a keeper!
Love it!

My initial reaction was "Oh no" because oof, you really captured this feeling. Also love the arrangement!!!!

Excuse me, how dare I be called out like this?!
Seriously, I agree with what everybody else said.

I love that concluding line of the chorus and how it's delivered, "I might be an overthinker." It's totally perfect.
Oh god indeed. :)

Great lyric, flowing musically with lovely jangly guitars that repeatedly remind me of The Pretenders.
Producing a fun and quirky track, while tackling an issue that could so easily have been a whinge-fest, is an impressive result :)
Fine work!

Cool track, relatable theme delivered well. The classic distorted guitars in the chorus make this one pop, I like the clean riff also. I like the little keyboard bit and the quiet down afterwards. Always love an abrupt ending to, well done!

I can relate to every lyric here. The riff has a hypnotic feel to it which definitely captures that feeling of your thoughts going round and round. The chorus melody is brilliant. I love your voice too

Excellent 90s vibe on this one... little hints of Lisa Loeb and Liz Phair.
Also, I feel the sentiment...so hard getting out of our own heads.

I feel personally targeted by this relateable content. You nailed the experience, and wrapped it is such a wonderful indie rock song. You RAWKed it!
