Feb 2022 melancholy indie-pop collab
Big thanks to @arthurrossi for the lyrics that really struck a chord with me. It was a pleasure to work with them, and hope I did them justice.
The original form of the lyrics can be found here: https://fawm.org/songs/125888/
Who am I now? my hair gray… and wizened,
unable to walk without a stick…
my memories pass by like clouds on the horizon,
my show’s over, this clown´s playing his last tricks…
Think of friends, think of my mother,
Meadows where we played, green hills,
Tears and joy, the same as each other,
Bliss didn’t die, it was fulfilled…
Thank you and bye, friends,
this is about to end,
now I have to go,
it was a pleasure to be your clown in this little show,
it was a pleasure to be your clown in this little show,
Think of love that gave more than it owed me,
of songs I heard, dreams that I betrayed…
I think of all those kind people who know me,
Who I left behind and lost along the way…
I still smell all those roses
That are gone, but blossom in my soul…
Want to thank you my friends as the curtain closes,
For your faith in me and my goals…
Thank you and bye, friends,
this is about to end,
now I have to go,
it was a pleasure to be your clown in this little show,
it was a pleasure to be your clown in this little show,
we cried and burst in laughter,
will we meet in the hereafter?
does anyone know…?
I don’t know… I don’t know…
it was a pleasure to be your clown in this little show

Well done both of you. The music and the lyrics go really well together. Catchy melodies and overall a pleasant sound. Something very 70's about this, which I love.

Suiting collaboration.

This title alone is a mood and a half. Then you add in the melancholy music and delivery and it works to create a very contemplative canvas. Nicely done.

I really love the poignant sentiment in the lyric and the music is perfect to keep it from becoming too sad but allows it to provoke thought and contemplation. Nice change up between sections and wonderful guitars and vocals. .
