There is nothing like being awakened by the smell of fresh brewed coffee. My husband does not drink coffee at all. Yet he makes me the most wonderful coffee, just the way I like it, weak enough to see through, with maximum aroma. Anyone who knows me, knows my coffee could be described as tea trying to pass as coffee. I prefer to think of my coffee as more of a coffee flavored tea.
The scent tickles my nose,
the aroma draws me, out of bed.
My eyes don’t want to open,
yet my nose leads me on.
My husband has made me coffee.
Half dead I stumble to our kitchen,
I collapse onto a chair.
A fragrant mug of warm wonder,
touches gently against my palms.
My husband has made me coffee.
The corners of my mouth turn up,
before the liquid touches my lip.
My husband never says he loves me.
However, I know because…
My husband has made me coffee.

Lovely lyrics, Tasha. I hope to hear them. I've always enjoyed listening to your songs, looking forward to hearing more.

I can relate to this song! With my partner, we alternate who is the brewer and who is the benefactor. Usually though, we deliver the coffee back to the bedroom! We just got back from Puerto Rico where everyone makes coffee with a moka pot!

How are you doing? Have you had a chance to try the soundcloud ap, or found someone to collaborate with?

Re Demos: Slightly easier than Dierdre's way is to simply record and upload using the SoundCloud app on a phone. Most phones have surprisingly decent microphones. I only stopped using SoundCloud because you only get 2 hours of free hosting, but everything on my SoundCloud was recorded with a Galaxy S5.

I really like this one.
What I do for a soundtrack is record into GarageBand, which comes free on (all? most?) Apple devices, and upload it to soundcloud, then link it here. There's other ways to do it as well; this isn't the first thing I tried, but the windows-based software someone recommended was just not working for me, and I wanted to be writing songs, not spending hours on you tube learning new software.

I plan on adding a soundtrack... once I figure out how to do that. There might ever be an instrument.
