The darkest song I have written so far. This is not autobiographical. I try to get into other people's heads from time to time.
Hate!
It's the solitary principal
Connects the fragments of your life
Red mind, red mind, red mind, red mind
You hate your friends
All the people that surround you
It must just be a trick
How can they possibly not
Notice that you're sick
You hate those girls
Not a one them would fuck you
Not to save their lives
Yet other men have girlfriends
Who turn right into wives
Red mind, red mind, red mind, red mind
You hate your job
Doing nothing for some asshole
For a minimalist wage
One day you'll show them
You're tiger in this cage
You hate your folks
Living rent free in the basement
Their attention is a lie
If they really loved you they'd
Do the decent thing and die
Red mind, red mind, red mind, red mind
You hate yourself
It's the solitary principal
Connects the fragments of your life
But now it's getting later, time
To sharpen up the knife
Red mind, you hate yourself
Red mind, you hate yourself

Yes, this is very dark. But well observed and put in a way in words that is not very judgmental. Maybe a tiny bit. But also in a way that I can relate to where in my life I was in the same place, even though not in this totality.
