Morning random writing! The process for this song was like, write some words, about literally anything, and then plug in my looper pedal and start looping sounds, and then sing the words like, over top of it, however i felt like singing them. This is a fun way of songwriting and I'll probably do more fawm tracks in this way.
If you're short on time you can skip the first 2 minutes and like 15ish seconds, because it took me a lil while to build the track before i started singing the lyrics.
(with the bass effect still turned on) "that's not what i expected!" lol.
The mornings are cold *pause to move lyrics into a better spot*
The mornings are cold,
why would I leave my sheets
I supposed I'll just lay here
until I can think
of a good enough reason
to let the winter sting my cheeks
If I cut my hair
and i changed my style
would you still want me
would you still be mine
ooooh ooooh ooooh (etc.)
If I cut my hair
and i changed my style
would you still want me
would you still be mine
If I cut my hair...

Looper songs are great. I always set my sights at ‘Giving up the Ghost’ by Radiohead and never match up.
I may have to blow the dust off mine after hearing this as you’ve managed to capture a nice sound.
The liveness of the take works well and your vocals hold it all together.
The layering of oohs are great. Very nice.

Looping is fun. Love this chorus, the way it rises out of the music like the Rockies appearing in Colorado after hours of driving through Kansas. For me, the verse melody is pushing against the loop and might work better with a slightly different progression. Just one guy's opinion. Appreciate the insight into your process on this one. Sounds like a writing adventure. Zip line! What a rush.

I enjoyed letting it build up slowly, and hearing what you did with it; a nice lazy morning song with interesting music.
