Following on the heels of "Hope & Lilacs" pleasant reverie, uncertainty once again creeps in and casts its long shadows of doubt about the future.
Besides the flute at the start and a backing pad, this is another fully improvised piece.
I wrote another poem to accompany this piece, which I've placed in the Lyrics section.
I am too many voices
Wrapped in fragile, starless skin
At some point there was beginning
Now we're at the long drawn end
I was so many others
Dressed and draped in obscurity
I remember when I was a wolf, a mother
Now I am a mess of tired limbs
I was a stranger in the fields
Staring at the vast blue sky
The lilacs held a scent of hope
Now that is scattered in the wind
I am so many voices
Lost outside and within
At some point there will be an ending
Now...
Now we're all just waiting
Waiting for it to begin...
