I'm finally getting caught up on the video edits. I made this song a few days back but work piled up and I shifted gears to other songs/videos for a couple days.
The shoegaze part at the end might need some volume adjustment in the final mix but for now I'm gonna say it's good enough to share.
I remember the days
In Nagasaki on
On the rooftop where it began
And I learned to play guitar
On early mornings
As the sun would rise
Fire reignited in my eyes
Thanks to a friend that said
Life is a journey
And music is part of it
Just keep moving forward
You will be fine in the end
And here I am
Taking it one day at a time
Here I am
Still watching the sunrise
From the other side of the world
From the other side
The side of…
I was overseas
Chasing a dream I
Must have forgotten about
Isn’t it funny how things all work out

This one has a Reggie & The Full Effect "Under the Tray" feel for me. Your voice choose to go in some similar directions as their singer. That last stanza is excellent!

I agree with xfloorpunchx about that section at :57 - lovely backdrop with the music there. Its so lush and full.
Happens again to end the song, love that.
In my mind, I see a scene of like...mist coming up from a waterfall in some beautiful lake in Nagasaki, with a bit of rainbow shining through it from the sun - that's what those sections make me think of.
The footage of your time there adds to the already personal lyrics. I like how you are doing almost an autobiography of love and your life through song for this album.

A real latter-day Blink 182 emo vibe to the melodies at work here, but nice to hear it paired with a more shoegazey backdrop!
