Starting out by finishing a few old ideas. This one wasn't far from finished and didn't need a lot of work. I'm just putting off writing lyrics and recording the vocals, but now i finally did it!
Not used to recording and definitely not used to recording vocals.
Enjoy!
Verse
The obsession of your disguise
Determination inside of your eyes
Desperately trying to stay in the game
But all of your struggles will be in vain
And all you’ll have is your indiscretion
To blame
What a shame
You’ll never be the same
Chorus
Now that you’re in this state of mind
You know you’re running out of time
Transgressions in succession
Because of your suppression
Verse
All the illusions you thought unreal
The information that they conceal
All of your memories seems to fade
Leaving a trail of tears in your wake
With your possessions and imperfections
Displayed
You’re dismayed
You’ll always be afraid
Chorus
Bridge
You never did interfere and
you never did reappear and you
Never wanted to go through
What you were meant to
You know it to be true
Chorus

Recording and mixing is something that takes time to learn, and the secret to improving is just to do as much of it as you possibly can, so crack on with it! You've clearly already got the guitars sussed, and that took me *years* to figure out.
To me, the vocals sound too far back in the mix; more volume will bring them forwards, but even just adding some compression to the vocal track will help your voice to punch through. And I agree with the Bowie comparison; I recognise that phrasing technique!

Keep it up! You have a pretty bowie-esque voice blend.

This is a good place to get used to recording and recording vocals! Enjoyed the rock and the lyrics are interesting. Keep rolling!
Useful tip: here is where a simple DAW helps: you can get better vocal clarity AND volume after the recording event. A trick no-one told me about for ages that works with a piano+vocals and should work here, is the backing mixed down to stereo, then split mono panned hard left and hard right, the voice comes forward in tthe mix!.
