prompt Failure
Second try using an "Abstract Beat" loop as a basis for my track. This one in #7. There's lots of room for more stuff in there but no time left.
If you're interested, you can hear the loops here:

I like this one 'cause it has some grit. Due to prep time I choose the loop before the prompt is revealed. Maybe I'll get a few of them set up and be able to choose.
Loop: Abstract Beats 07
Synthesizers:
Guitars: '73 Fender Stratocaster
Amp: '78 Marshall Mk II
-------------------------------------------------
Note: Skirmish: 1 hour to write and record
Constructive criticism is always welcome. Tell me all about it!
Hit or Miss
I fail to see the point in all of this
What do you think you have to gain
You flap your gums like it was hit or miss
That's why we suspect that your insane.
You act confused about the borderlines
At least that's how you come across
You fail to recognize the worst of times
The best of times you think is when you're the boss

The smooth vibe to the lop contrasts the grit to your the guitar perfectly. The lyrics are solid, "You act confused about the borderlines /
At least that's how you come across" is some brilliant, clever writing. Great work, skirmish or not!

Slap-back echo on the voice suites perfectly. Good guitar riffs and interesting descending guitar parts

I like the guitar sound and the riff-based song. The musical groove fits really well with the mood of the lyrics.

Maybe it takes grit to criticize someone for being too glib, but anyway, it works. I get that there was something at stake and someone who has a way of not recognizing the situation.

Good choice on the gritty loop! It works very well, especially with the descending guitar chords. I really enjoyed this listen. Thanks for participating!

That's a dirty groove, my friend! Raw and straight forward, but you've never been one to pull the punches. Great skirmish! And thanks to the link to the loops!
